A 26 year old woman is facing a DWI charge after causing an accident over the weekend. The accident occurred in Guilford County around 8 pm Sunday evening. The woman hit an oncoming vehicle head-on after she crossed the center line on Highway 62. The woman also had her 20 month old son in the car with her.
The woman and her son were not taking to the hospital to be treated for injuries. The driver and passenger of the victim vehicle did have to be taken to the hospital but it is unknown how bad their injuries were. The woman’s exact BAC has not been released but officials have said it was close to double the legal limit of 0.08. She is charged with DWI and other charges will likely be filed against her.
