An accident involving a moped occurred in Charlotte over the weekend. The moped apparently hit a car in the intersection of Rocky River Road and Harris Boulevard. The accident occurred around 7 p.m. when the moped ran out into the intersection and was hit by another vehicle.
The driver of the moped was listed in critical condition and had to be taken to the hospital by helicopter. The man who was driving the moped was intoxicated at the time and will be charged with DWI. It is unknown what his BAC was at the time.
