This is a new type of story but apparently a man from Charlotte was arrested and charged with DWI Sunday Morning after he was involved in a golf cart accident.
Strangely, the man was driving in the Ballantyne area, with his younger passenger aboard, and made a sharp turn, with no concern for the passenger’s safety.
In doing so, the 21-year-old passenger was thrown from the cart, and hit his head on the pavement. He was immediately transferred to Carolinas Medical for immediate attention, as he was found to be in critical condition.
The 22-year-old intoxicated defendant was however, unscathed by the accident, and will not be visiting the hospital anytime soon on his own accord.
The 22-year-old defendant has subsequently been charged with “driving while impaired,” and causing serious bodily injury to another by improper operation of a golf cart.
