Police in Raleigh, NC set up two checkpoints this past weekend to find DWI drivers. The first checkpoint was set up Saturday in the early morning hours on Capital Boulevard. Police arrested 16 people for DWI while the checkpoint was in operation. Several other charges were issued during the checkpoint including drug and weapons violations.

The second DWI checkpoint was set up on Sunday. Police arrested 12 people for DWI at this checkpoint. Additionally other charges including drug violations and other alcohol violations were issued. Raleigh police were assisted by officers from Wake County during the times the checkpoints were set up.
