How-to Craft Festive Christmas Cocktails: Seasonal Drinks

Mulled Wine

When you are thinking of different Christmas cocktails, you are sure to think of mulled wine. Mulled wine, also known as spiced wine, is a traditional Christmas drink. If you are wanting a delicious warm cocktail, this is the perfect recipe. You will be surprised how easy it is to make.

Combine 4 cups of apple cider, 2 bottles of red wine, 1/2 cup brandy, 1/4 cup honey, 4 cinnamon sticks, 2 oranges (sliced into pieces), 8 whole cloves, and 12 black peppercorns in a large pot. Simmer the mixture over low heat for 10-15 minutes. Then, remove the cloves and peppercorns. Serve in heatproof glasses or mugs. Top it off with a garnish of a cinnamon stick or an orange slice.

Cranberry Mimosas

A festive twist on a classic brunch drink, cranberry mimosas make great Christmas cocktails. First, rim the champagne flutes with lime and dip in sugar. Then pour 1/4 cup cranberry juice into each glass and top with champagne.

To start, rim champagne flutes with lime and dip in sugar. Pour 1/4 cup cranberry juice into each glass and top with champagne. To garnish this drink, use a toothpick to poke a hole through cranberries. Finally, thread a rosemary skewer through several of the cranberries to finish it off.

Peppermintini

A Peppermintini is one of the best Christmas cocktails for peppermint and chocolate lovers. Melt 1/2 cup of semisweet chocolate chips. Then, pour the melted chocolate onto a shallow plate, and place 1/4 cup of crushed candy canes on another shallow plate. First, dip the rims of martini glasses in chocolate, then in candy canes. Pour remaining chocolate into the bottom of glasses. You can swirl the glass to coat the bottom 1/3 of glasses with chocolate. Put the glasses into the freezer while you prepare the drink.

Combine 6 ounces of white chocolate liqueur, 4 ounces vodka, 2 ounces of peppermint schnapps, and 2 tablespoons of heavy cream in a cocktail shaker. Then fill the shaker with ice and shake until cold. Divide the drink between 3 glasses and garnish with a candy cane before serving.
