Deputes in Union County have discovered $235,000 worth of marijuana plants in a woman’s home in Monroe. Deputies received a complaint that drug activity was occurring in the home. They were able to obtain a search warrant and discovered a huge grow operation in the home. Police found 81 marijuana plants along with several pounds or bagged marijuana in the home. The plants that were found ranged between 1 foot and 6 feet tall.
The woman has been charged with two counts of trafficking marijuana, possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony maintain a dwelling to store controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police are still investigating further.
