A woman in Charlotte is facing charges after she crashed into the back of a dump truck earlier this week. The accident occurred on Providence Road near a sinkhole. The woman was traveling at a high rate of speed when she slammed into the back of dump truck. The dump truck was on Providence Road as part of the crew that is fixing the sinkhole. No one was in the dump truck when the collision occurred.
There were two people in the vehicle that slammed into the back of the dump truck. The driver and passenger were both injured and had to be taken to the hospital. The driver was cited for DWI and reckless driving, but has not yet been arrested since she is still in the hospital suffering from serious injuries.
