The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department set up a DWI checkpoint his past weekend on Nations Ford Road. The police filed 82 charges and made 8 arrests as a result. 5 of those charges were DWI related.
Another checkpoint was set up on Saturday with the CMPD, UNCCPD, and Pineville police participating. This checkpoint took place on Central Ave. The police filed 60 charges during this checkpoint. 10 of thos charges were DWI related.
